How OnlineFirst works

BioNatura Journal is pleased to announce a new service for our authors and readers: Online First, the immediate online publication of all accepted papers as soon as the authors have returned the corrected proofs. This means an enormous reduction in publication time. It will no longer be necessary for manuscripts to wait until the “next available issue”. More details.

This page will host BioNatura Journal manuscripts that are currently in the editorial production workflow.

Starting in February 2024, articles will be uploaded here progressively as they complete copyediting, formatting, metadata validation, and final quality checks.

Publications will appear in the chronological order in which they are finalized (not by submission date). Once assigned to an issue, each article will keep its DOI and will be linked to the corresponding final Table of Contents.

Editing & production

Articles are processed through copyediting, figure/table checks, reference consistency review, and layout standardization.

Quality & ethics checks

Metadata completeness, authorship statements, ethics/funding disclosures, and publication integrity checks are verified prior to posting.

Persistent identifiers

OnlineFirst articles keep their identifiers (e.g., DOI). When assigned to an issue, links are updated without breaking citations.
