SCAM ALERT - Bionatura journal

SCAM ALERT & Phishing Emails

When Is an Email Sent from BioNatura Journal?

Authors may receive fraudulent emails requesting them to pay an invoice, review/submit a paper, click links, or open attachments. The sender might try to impersonate legitimate BioNatura Journal members of our editorial team who have already been in contact with you before.

Please note: Emails requesting any payment or collaboration with BioNatura Journal will be sent EXCLUSIVELY from a @bionaturajournal.com address.

How to Avoid Scams

Here are some tips to avoid scams claiming they are a service from BioNatura Journal:

  • Never click on suspicious links: Hover your mouse over the link to check the real destination.
  • Look closely at email addresses and websites: They often make small changes to known sites (e.g., bionaturajournal.org instead of bionaturajournal.com).
  • Beware of "urgent" emails: Be skeptical of emails asking to update your password immediately.
  • Never pay any invoices that are not sent from @bionaturajournal.com – please double-check the spelling of the address.

Known Scam Attempts - Please Read

Recently, there has been an increase in scam attempts against BioNatura authors. Please be vigilant if someone contacts you from a fake email address posing as a BioNatura staff member and proposes to:

  • Charge you for publishing in BioNatura.
  • Expedite the peer review process for a fee.
  • Offer an acceptance letter before the peer review is completed.

These offers are bogus.

If you receive an email from any of these addresses, they are FALSE:

  • revistabionatura@aol.com
  • revitabionaturi@googl.com
  • biorev@hotmail.com
  • editor@revistabionatura.org

If you receive a notification from these sites, they have nothing to do with us:

Submitting to these sites means your paper will not be published by BioNatura Journal.
