RESUMEN
La salud de la población mundial se afectó dramáticamente durante la pandemia del COVID-19, especialmente la salud mental y fisiológica. La salud mental se ha visto afectada por estresores físicos y psicológicos tanto en el caso de la población en general (no clínica) como en el de los afectados por la enfermedad, los trabajadores sanitarios y las poblaciones más vulnerables, como los mayores o los que padecen trastornos o enfermedades mentales.
Los trabajadores sanitarios desempeñan un papel crucial en el éxito de la respuesta a la situación de pandemia por COVID-19. Las posibles consecuencias psicológicas negativas no solo son perjudiciales para el bienestar del personal sanitario, sino que también podrían reducir su capacidad para abordar eficazmente la emergencia sanitaria que ha ocasionado la enfermedad.
Dentro de las repercusiones más importantes de esta pandemia se encuentra el impacto a la salud mental del personal sanitario que atiende a pacientes con COVID-19, debido al riesgo de desarrollar desde trastornos psicológicos hasta enfermedades mentales. Hasta el momento, los datos científicos basados en evidencia e intervenciones de salud mental dirigidas a los trabajadores del área de la salud con que contamos son escasos. (Torres, Farias, Reyes & Díaz-Barriga, 2020). Para el trabajador de la salud, habrá un “antes” y un “después” del covid-19. La emergencia sanitaria expuso la fragilidad de los sistemas de salud y su falta de preparación para hacer frente a semejante crisis, y se hizo visible el papel primordial de los trabajadores de la salud para enfrentar este desafío.
Al revisar la literatura no se encuentran investigaciones, después de la pandemia, que nos informen en qué condiciones se encuentra el personal de salud y si se ha intervenido en su salud fisiologica y mental

ABSTRAC
The health of the world population was dramatically affected during the COVID-19pandemic, especially mental and physiological health. The potential negative psychological consequences are not only detrimental to the wellbeing of healthcare personnel, but could also reduce their ability to effectively address the health emergency that has caused the disease. Among the most important repercussions of this pandemic in the impact on the mental health of health personnel who care for patients with COVID-19. When reviewing the literature, there are no investigations, after the pandemic, that inform us in what conditions the health personnel are in and whether interventions have been made in their physiological and mental health.
